DAY 1. SAN JOSE (D)
You are greeted outside the San Jose International Airport and helped with your bags for the comfortable drives to your hotel in San José. Enjoy of the view and a romantic dinner at Le Monastere Restaurant, located on a hillside overlooking the San José city.
DAY 2. VARA BLANCA (B)
Morning at your leisure. In the afternoon You will be driven between plantations of all kinds, waterfalls and beautiful vistas until you reach to La Paz Waterfall Gardens and The Peace Lodge. The Lodge introduces its guests to a symphony of purely Costa Rican experiences celebrating the natural wonders of the rain forest and the splendid creatures that inhabit this magical environment. The ultra-upscale accommodations are uniquely themed to complement the inherent beauty of its rain and cloud forest setting and the detailed architecture exudes a natural elegance and sophistication with every room boasting a Jacuzzi tub and stone fireplace along with showers that transform into waterfalls with the turn of a knob.
DAY 3. VARA BLANCA (B)
After breakfast, you could explore the wonders of La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a rescued wildlife preserves with over 100 species of animals and an environmental education program. Where you could take a hike through this incomparable complex. You will be able to visit their Butterfly Garden, the Hummingbird Garden, The Orchid Garden, Frog Pond, Serpentarium, the Typical Costa Rica House and the most beautiful waterfalls in the rain forest.
DAY 4. ARENAL (B)
In the afternoon relax and enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside of San Carlos Valley. Arenal Volcano was Costa Rica’s most active volcano. Much to the enjoyment of its visitors, Arenal spewed enormous amounts of lava, gas and ash on a regular basis. That eruptive cycle began with the infamous eruption of 1968 ended recently. In October 2010, Arenal entered into an indeterminate resting phase. For the time being, visitors will be unable to watch the much-loved explosions, although that could change within a matter of months or years. Travelers to Arenal will still enjoy its bountiful sights, sounds and activities— there are mountains to be hiked, lakes to be fished and rivers to be floated. As one of the country’s most scenic and accessible areas, it is a requisite stop on any tour of Costa Rica. On a clear day you will have an amazing view of the volcano from your hotel. Check in at the hotel and visit the Titoku Hot Springs.
DAY 5. ARENAL (B/D)
Morning at your leisure. In the afternoon the visit to Sky Adventure Park, to walk through a series of suspension bridges for a more relaxing introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest canopy. It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective which starts with a hike on the ground and then taking you to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat called the “canopy” with a naturalist guide. Also you will ride gondolas rise smoothly through the rain forest, offering up endless views during their mountainous ascent. At night, enjoy of wine and Latin dance lessons and get your feet moving to some tropical beats, after that a typical Costa Rican dinner (Casado) will be served. Come back to your hotel and get some rest.
DAY 6. JACO AREA (B)
After breakfast, you will be picked up and taken to your ultimate destination. The Zephyr Palace, is a luxury mansion that shines like a jewel among others and is appreciated not only for its location, design and decoration, but also for the outstanding facilities and first class service. Zephyr Palace – Villa Caletas expresses a truly unique combination of mountain and beach resort. Situated at the top of a mountain at 1100 feet above the Pacific Ocean, manages to see stunning 240 degree views over the Gulf of Nicoya, from the islands of the Nicoya Peninsula, to the beautiful beaches of Jacó and Herradura.
The dark-emerald green vegetation contrasts with the blue Pacific Ocean, and the tropical rain forest becomes the best complement for the most beautiful sunsets you can witness. At the bottom of the mountain, Zephyr Palace has its own private beach called Caletas. This area, one of the favorite regions for nature lovers, is best known for the colorful flocks of scarlet macaws.
